EAR CARE

  • Clean your ears with extra care. Dont clean your ears with anything smaller than a washcloth on your finger. Dont use cotton buds, hairgrips or sharp pointed objects to clean your ears. These objects may injure the ear canal or eardrum.
  • Earwax is the ears way of cleaning itself. If you have a build-up of earwax that is blocking your hearing, contact Trudy to have it removed. Dont try to remove it on your own.
  • If you experience itching or pain in your ears, call your Doctor. He/She will examine you, advise you on suitable treatment and help you decide if you need to see a specialist.
  • If you have pierced ears, clean your earrings and earlobes regularly with rubbing alcohol.
  • Have your ears checked regularly by your primary care doctor. Have your hearing checked by an audiologist (a provider who specializes in hearing issues) if you or anyone else questions whether your hearing is normal. Consult a specialist as needed.
  • When outdoors in sunny weather, remember to use a sunscreen on your ears. If you notice unusual bumps or scaly areas on the exterior ear, call your healthcare provider.
  • See Doctor immediately if you injure your ears, experience ear pain, or notice any changes in your ears or hearing. Sometimes ear pain can originate in the teeth or jaws or the neck.

Frequently Asked Questions

About Me

My name is Trudy Harvey and I offer a professional and friendly mobile service for ear irrigation in the comfort of your own home. I have over 10 years experience using tried and tested methods for successful ear wax removal. Call or email me for a no obligation consultation, evening and weekend appointments are available. You can see the areas I cover in the West Midlands Here

What treatment can I expect ?

I will inspect your ears by using an instrument called an otoscope to view the inside of your ear, the otoscope shines a light into your ear and magnifies the image. If wax buildup is the issue I will perform the irrigation in your home using the Propulse G5 system. This will be used to insert luke warm water or a water and saline mixture into the ear to flush out the wax.

How often should I be treated ?

If you feel that your hearing is not as it should be then give me a call. There is no hard and fast rule that wax removal should be done on a regular basis.

What is the age range ?

I treat all ages from 18 upwards, anyone below this age group is recommended to visit their GP first.
